Recycled silk shawl, done

It's Done!!
I have been working on this shawl for just about half a year, off-and-on. Starting with the skeins and blobs of silk thrums (purchased from [link] ), preparing them to spin, spinning and plying them into yarn, then crocheting the yarn into this shawl.

I estimate that I have spent at least 9 hours blending the fiber, another 28 spinning and plying, then between 24 and 36 hours crocheting. That makes between 60-72 hours total work time.


Pre-blocking:
Width at front points when spread, 42in
Length from nape of neck to middle point, 24in

Edit: This has now been properly blocked and set, which didn't change the appearance of the stitches much but has changed the size a bit.

Post blocking:
Width at front points when spread, 47in
Length from nape of neck to middle point, 26.5in
