Leather pouch for field work

This is the quickie leather pouch that I made to hold things while at Geology field camp. We were supposed to get a pouch to hold a notebook, a couple pencils and such but I didn't want to buy one of the canvas ones. Instead, I dipped into some of my leather stash and built myself a pouch.

The dimensions are 8in wide by 8in tall by just under 2in deep.
Inside (not shown) is a smaller zippered pouch, which was salvaged from an old denim backpack of mine.
